Player Ages:
Over 21 years old by December 31st, 2019
Graduating Junior Entry Draft:
In February of each year, there is a North Draft (for teams North of Leduc) and a South Draft (for teams South of Didsbury). All players graduating from Junior teams in these areas are included in the drafts, based on home residence.A separate draft is held where all six Sr. B teams each draft Graduating Juniors from Leduc South to Didsbury (includes the town of Didsbury). Drafted players are the property of the team which drafted them until released or traded. Eligible players for the 2019 drafts are those born in 1997.
50 Man Protected List
- February 1 to April 15: Each Sr. B team can protect up to 50 players during this period. This Protected List includes the players on the team‘s previous season roster (maximum 25 players), players that are protected but not registered to their roster, and draft picks for the current season. As long as a player is listed on a team‘s Protected List during this period, the player cannot attend floor sessions of another Sr. B team. 40 Man Protected List - April 16 to February 1:
Each Sr. B team must reduce their 50 Man Protected List to a 40 Man Protected List prior to April 16. As long as a player is listed on a team‘s Protected List, the player cannot play for another Sr. B team in Alberta, unless the player is registered on a Sr. C team and then this player may be a call-up for any Alberta Sr. B team. A player can remain on a Sr. B team‘s Protected List indefinitely. The Sr. B Teams 40 Man Protected List is posted on the RMLL Website

50 and 40 Man Protected List:
A player listed on a Team‘s Protected List who does not report to the Sr. B team who protected them, cannot try out or play for any other Sr. B team until released or traded by the team who protected them.
Playing Rights:
The playing rights of a player remain with a Sr. B team, for as long as the player remains on that Sr. B team‘s Protected List. If the player decides to play in a higher league (i.e. the Western Lacrosse Association or the Ontario Lacrosse Association‘s Major Series - Sr. A), the player‘s RMLL rights remain with the RMLL Sr. B team whose protected List the player is on.
Sr. B Free Agent:
A player not on a Sr. B team Protected List may attend open tryouts for other Sr. B teams or may be invited to invitational tryouts of any/all of the teams.
Tryouts:
Tryouts can be by invitation only or open. All open tryouts are posted on the RMLL Home Page of the RMLL website.
Out of Province Players - Must have an approved CLA Transfer before registering with an Alberta Club/Team.
